From October 16 to 18, 2025, the 48ᵉ edition of the Compétition nationale des métiers (WorldSkills France) was held at the Parc Chanot in Marseille, bringing together young talent from all over France in nearly 70 trades. Among the challenges on offer this year, for the very first time in the competition’s history, the trade of dog groomer was part of the national qualifying events.
A historic entry, crowned by a resounding victory: Clémentine Brenne, a member of Diamex Team France, won with flying colors to become the 2025 WorldSkills Grooming Champion of France.
WorldSkills, the Olympics of the trades!
The WorldSkills, also known as the Olympiad of Crafts and Trades, brings together the world’s best young professionals every two years. Each country organizes its own regional and national selections, and the winners of each trade then earn the right to represent their discipline on the international stage.
Beyond the competition, the aim of WorldSkills is to showcase know-how and manual trades, promote technical excellence and vocational training (apprenticeships, craft trades, industry, services), and demonstrate that technical excellence is not restricted to academic or tertiary fields.
A first for dog grooming!
This 2025 edition marks a major turning point for the grooming profession, represented for the first time in WorldSkills history.
The six candidates qualified for this historic first were those who had performed best at the 2024 French Grooming Championships. They included a 2ᵉ year apprentice, three BTM-holding apprentices, one Espoir Pro and one Pro.
A true condensation of talent, these candidates competed in four imposed categories: English Cocker, Scottish, Bichon Frise and Poodle cut Puppy with a top. They all made the same cuts in the same time, and the final ranking was established by adding up the scores obtained in each of the four categories.
And it was Clémentine who, thanks to her consistency, precision and versatility, came out on top with the best overall average. Already crowned Best Groomer 2024 Futur Pro 2, she confirmed her talent and immense potential by taking the title of Champion, becoming the first groomer in history to win WorldSkills France in grooming.

A historic, symbolic victory that fills us with pride!
We are immensely proud of Clémentine. Her exceptional performance, rigorous work and exemplary commitment led her to this victory, which rewards years of effort, passion and perseverance. But this success doesn’t stop there: it also symbolizes the progress of a profession, the importance of training and the value of recognized know-how.
Clémentine is the perfect embodiment of the values we uphold: excellence, precision and love of the profession. With her talent and determination, she is inspiring a whole new generation of groomers, and helping to ensure that their skills are recognized for their true worth.
Congratulations also to his coach, Jean Vion, whose attentive, rigorous and benevolent guidance played an essential role in developing his potential: a fine illustration that quality training, mutual trust and collaboration can turn efforts into successes.
Behind every success, precious support !
Clémentine shows great humility and generously shares the credit for her victory. She underlines the importance of the guidance provided by her coach, Jean Vion, as well as the constant support of Diamex, who accompanies and encourages her in her work, affirming: “This victory is the fruit of long efforts, but above all it is the fruit of mutual help and trust.”
She also dedicates this victory to those close to her, and particularly highlights the role of her partner, who supports and accompanies her on a daily basis, saying: “Thank you to my family and friends for their unfailing support. And especially to my partner Quentin Rouart, who is by my side in all my adventures. Your support, encouragement and presence are my strength. Without you, none of this would be possible.”
Because Clémentine understands that behind every victory and every great name lie the support, attention and people who make excellence possible.
Congratulations, Clémentine!
Clémentine is making grooming history, and we are enthusiastically, admiringly and proudly accompanying her on this wonderful adventure, convinced that her talent, passion and commitment will continue to inspire and make the profession shine wherever she goes.
